Health & Wellness Benefits
Digestive Health & Nausea Relief
Gingerols and shogaols from fresh Sri Lankan ginger are among the most well-researched natural compounds for digestive health. This blend relieves nausea and vomiting, soothes the digestive tract, reduces bloating and gas, stimulates digestive enzymes, and supports healthy gut motility. Combined with Ceylon tea tannins, it provides comprehensive digestive comfort and is widely regarded as one of nature's most effective stomach remedies.
Powerful Anti-Inflammatory Action
Gingerols, shogaols, and zingerone from fresh ginger combined with tea polyphenols provide exceptional anti-inflammatory benefits. These compounds inhibit inflammatory pathways, reduce systemic inflammation, lower inflammatory markers in the body, ease joint pain and stiffness, and provide relief from chronic inflammatory conditions. The dual anti-inflammatory action from both tea and ginger makes this blend particularly powerful.
Powerful Antioxidant Protection
Ceylon ginger tea combines the exceptional theaflavins and thearubigins from premium black tea with shogaols and paradols from fresh ginger. These compounds neutralize free radicals, protect cells from oxidative damage, support anti-aging processes, and reduce chronic disease risk. The dual antioxidant action from both tea and ginger enhances overall protective capacity significantly.
Immune System Enhancement
Gingerols possess well-documented antimicrobial, antiviral, and antifungal properties. Combined with the rich polyphenol content of premium Ceylon tea, this blend strengthens immune defenses, supports natural resistance to infections, reduces the duration of colds and flu, and helps maintain overall immune health throughout the year. A traditional immunity booster used for centuries across Asian cultures.
Cardiovascular Health Support
Flavonoids and polyphenols from Ceylon black tea improve blood vessel function, reduce LDL cholesterol oxidation, and lower blood pressure naturally. Gingerols support healthy circulation, reduce blood clotting, lower triglyceride levels, and add comprehensive cardiovascular protection alongside the tea's natural heart-health compounds.
Mental Alertness & Cognitive Function
L-theanine and moderate caffeine work synergistically to enhance focus, improve concentration, boost mental clarity, and provide calm alertness. Ginger's active compounds have documented neuroprotective effects, supporting memory and cognitive function. The invigorating ginger aroma provides natural mental stimulation through aromatherapy benefits.
Pain Relief & Analgesic Support
Gingerols and shogaols have well-documented analgesic properties comparable to over-the-counter pain relievers in some studies. Regular consumption supports relief from muscle soreness, menstrual pain, headaches, and joint discomfort. The anti-inflammatory action further reduces pain associated with inflammatory conditions throughout the body.
Weight Management Support
Catechins and caffeine from Ceylon black tea increase fat oxidation and boost metabolic rate. Ginger's thermogenic properties increase calorie burning, reduce appetite, and support healthy weight management. The combination of tea and ginger creates a powerful metabolic-boosting blend that many customers use as part of their daily weight management routine.
Blood Sugar Balance
Gingerols improve insulin sensitivity and support healthy glucose metabolism. Combined with polyphenols from Ceylon black tea, this blend helps regulate post-meal blood sugar spikes, reduces fasting blood sugar levels, and supports comprehensive metabolic health. Particularly beneficial when consumed after meals.
Warming & Respiratory Wellness
Ginger's warming compounds support respiratory comfort, clear congestion, soothe sore throats, reduce bronchial inflammation, and provide natural warmth during cold seasons. The volatile essential oils in fresh Sri Lankan ginger deliver powerful aromatic steam that opens airways and eases breathing. A traditional remedy for colds, coughs, and respiratory discomfort across many cultures.
Stress Reduction & Energy
L-theanine from Ceylon tea promotes relaxation without drowsiness, while ginger's invigorating compounds provide natural energy and mental stimulation. This unique combination delivers calm, focused energy — reducing stress and fatigue while simultaneously improving alertness and vitality. An excellent coffee alternative for sustained, jitter-free energy.
Nausea & Morning Sickness Support
Ginger is one of the most clinically studied natural remedies for nausea. Fresh Sri Lankan ginger's high gingerol content provides effective relief from morning sickness, motion sickness, chemotherapy-induced nausea, and post-operative nausea. The warm tea format enhances absorption and delivery of these therapeutic compounds.
Menstrual Pain Relief
Gingerols have documented effectiveness in reducing menstrual pain and discomfort. Regular consumption during menstruation reduces cramping, eases lower back pain, decreases the intensity of period pain, and supports overall comfort during the menstrual cycle. Many women use it as a natural alternative to over-the-counter pain medication.
Skin Health & Anti-Aging
Antioxidants from both Ceylon tea and fresh ginger protect skin from oxidative damage and UV stress, support collagen production, reduce signs of aging, improve skin tone and clarity, and promote a healthy, radiant complexion. Ginger's antimicrobial properties also support clear skin from within.

Storage & Freshness Guidelines
Optimal Storage Conditions:
- Airtight Container: Glass jar, ceramic canister, or quality tin with tight seal
- Cool Location: 60-75°F away from heat sources
- Dark Place: Protect from light which degrades both tea and ginger essential oils
- Dry Environment: Moisture ruins both tea and ginger instantly
- Odor-Free: Tea absorbs surrounding smells — keep away from strong aromatics
- Separate Storage: Keep away from coffee, spices, and aromatic foods
- Portion Control: Keep daily supply separate from bulk storage
Freshness Indicators:
- Excellent: Strong fresh ginger aroma, visible ginger pieces, glossy dark leaves
- Good: Pleasant spicy-warm scent, intact leaves, good flavor extraction
- Check: Fading ginger aroma, slight dullness, still acceptable
- Replace: Weak or no spice scent, flat tea taste, stale aroma
Shelf Life Guidelines:
- Optimal Quality: 18 months maximum potency
- Best Flavor: Most aromatic within first 12 months
- Ginger Preservation: Gingerols and essential oils most potent within first 9 months
- Production Date: Clearly marked on packaging
- Best Practice: Consume within 12 months for peak experience
- After Opening: Use within 6 months for best ginger aroma and potency
Common Storage Mistakes to Avoid:
- ❌ Storing in original paper packaging long-term
- ❌ Clear containers in bright light (degrades ginger essential oils)
- ❌ Refrigerator storage (causes condensation and odor absorption)
- ❌ Near coffee, other spices, or strongly scented items
- ❌ Large containers opened frequently (air exposure degrades gingerols)
- ❌ Kitchen cabinet near stove/oven (heat damage)
- ❌ Plastic bags (allows air and moisture penetration)

Ginger Allergy Information:
True ginger allergies are rare but possible. Zingiber officinale is a natural rhizome from the Zingiberaceae family. Most adverse reactions to "ginger flavoring" in processed foods are caused by artificial ginger extract, not natural ginger. Our Sri Lankan ginger is 100% natural Zingiber officinale. If you have known spice sensitivity, start with a small amount to test tolerance. Skin contact with raw ginger may cause irritation in sensitive individuals, though internal consumption via tea is generally very well tolerated.

You can see and smell actual ginger pieces in the tea. We source directly from Sri Lankan ginger farmers for complete authenticity.
Q: How much caffeine is in Ceylon ginger tea? A: Approximately 28-55mg per 8 oz cup — less than coffee (95-200mg) but enough for a natural energy lift. The L-theanine from Ceylon tea provides balanced focus without jitters. For lower caffeine, use a shorter steep of 2-3 minutes.
Q: Is this tea good for nausea and motion sickness? A: Yes — ginger is one of the most clinically studied natural remedies for nausea. Our high-gingerol Sri Lankan ginger provides effective relief from motion sickness, morning sickness, and general nausea. Sip slowly and warm for best results. Consult your doctor if pregnant.
Q: Can I drink this every day? A: Yes! Ceylon ginger tea is safe for daily consumption at 2-4 cups per day for most healthy adults. The natural gingerols, combined with Ceylon tea antioxidants, provide cumulative health benefits with regular daily use.
Q: Is ginger tea safe during pregnancy? A: Ginger is widely used for pregnancy-related nausea and 1-2 cups daily is generally considered safe in the first trimester. However, always consult your healthcare provider or midwife before consuming ginger tea during pregnancy, especially in larger amounts.
Q: Do I need to add sugar or honey? A: The tea is delicious without any additions, showcasing the pure fresh ginger flavor. Many customers add a touch of raw honey to balance the natural ginger heat. Lemon also pairs beautifully and enhances the immunity-boosting properties.
Q: Can I add milk to ginger tea? A: Absolutely! Milk softens the ginger heat beautifully, creating a warming ginger latte or masala chai style drink. Oat milk and coconut milk pair especially well with ginger's bold flavor. Both dairy and plant-based milks work well.
Q: Is this tea good for inflammation and joint pain? A: Yes — gingerols and shogaols are among the most potent natural anti-inflammatory compounds available. Regular consumption of Ceylon ginger tea has been associated with reduced joint pain, lower inflammatory markers, and improved mobility. Results are cumulative with consistent daily use.
Q: How do I make it stronger for medicinal use? A: Use 2 teaspoons per cup and steep for 5-7 minutes for maximum gingerol extraction. You can also make a concentrate using 4 tablespoons per 2 cups of water, steeped for 10 minutes, then diluted to taste. Store concentrate in refrigerator for up to 7 days.
Q: How should I store ginger tea to keep it fresh? A: Airtight container in a cool, dark, dry place away from strong odors and heat. Gingerols and essential oils are sensitive to light, heat, and air. Properly stored, stays fresh 18 months, but best consumed within 12 months for peak ginger potency and aroma.
Q: Is this tea good for weight loss? A: Yes — ginger's thermogenic properties increase calorie burning and reduce appetite. Combined with Ceylon tea catechins and caffeine boosting fat oxidation, this blend supports healthy weight management. Many customers use it as a pre-workout or post-meal metabolism booster.
Q: Can children drink Ceylon ginger tea? A: Children over 12 can enjoy it occasionally. Under 12 should avoid due to caffeine content and the intensity of ginger heat. Teenagers may enjoy it diluted with milk and honey. Always consult a pediatrician for children with health conditions.

Open the packet and the smell is sharp, fragrant, faintly peppery — exactly what fresh dried ginger should smell like. Cheaper ginger products smell flat and dusty. This one is alive. The brewed cup matches the bag perfectly.
I'd been using grocery store ginger tea bags for years. Switching to this loose leaf is night and day — far more ginger heat, much better tea base, and the cost per cup is similar.
Most so-called ginger teas are black tea with weak ginger flavouring. This is the real thing — visible chunks of dried ginger, a sharp spicy aroma when you open the bag, and a proper warming heat in the cup. The Ceylon black tea base is robust and good quality on its own. Together they make a serious cup that actually does what ginger tea should.
When you scoop out the leaves you can see real chunks of dried ginger root mixed with the long Ceylon black tea leaves. Loose leaf done properly. No twiggy debris, no powder, no synthetic flavour smell.
I bought this for two reasons — I have ongoing IBS and ginger has been the most reliable home remedy I've found, and I prefer black tea to herbal infusions in the morning. Both purposes have been served well over three months of daily use. The ginger is potent — sharper and more warming than most so-called ginger teas — and the Ceylon black tea base is genuinely good quality. My digestion is meaningfully more settled, my mornings have a proper warming kick, and the cost per cup is reasonable. I give four stars rather than five only because new buyers should know this is a strong tea — the ginger heat is real and people who want a delicate cup should brew it short. For what it is, it's excellent.

from 3550 reviewsCeylon cinnamon has been a prized export from Sri Lanka for centuries — the genuine Cinnamomum verum is botanically distinct from the cassia (Cinnamomum cassia / aromaticum / loureiroi) that dominates Western markets, and the differences are significant. True Ceylon has dramatically lower coumarin (so it's safe for daily long-term use), a softer sweeter citrusy flavour profile, and is genuinely more highly regarded in traditional medicine for blood sugar management and anti-inflammatory effects. This product is the real thing — you can see it in the soft papery multi-layered quill pieces, smell it in the warm sweet citrusy aroma, and taste it in the brewed cup. I use it daily for general wellness, blood sugar support, and the pure pleasure of the flavour. Genuine Ceylon cinnamon is one of the great spices and this product treats it with the respect it deserves.
True Ceylon cinnamon — soft, sweet, citrusy. Nothing like the harsh cassia.
Warm sweet cinnamon fragrance — proper, not harsh. Lovely all winter.
True Ceylon cinnamon — soft, sweet, citrusy. Nothing like the harsh cassia.
True Ceylon cinnamon has very low coumarin levels — unlike cassia which can stress the liver if used daily long-term. This means I can drink two or three cups a day without concern. Important for anyone using cinnamon for blood sugar or anti-inflammatory benefits over time.
Genuine Ceylon cinnamon has its own sweetness. Don't need to add anything.
I genuinely don't add sugar to this — the Ceylon cinnamon has its own gentle sweetness. The flavour is warm, sweet, faintly citrusy, with a soft floral lift on the finish. Compared to the harsh notes of cassia this is genuinely beautiful tea.
Diabetic and using this daily. Numbers have improved meaningfully.
A splash of milk and a tiny drop of honey — best evening drink I've had in years.
First trimester pregnancy and this has been a lifesaver. Strong enough to actually help.
Light caffeine lift, but the soursop somehow softens the edge. Easy to drink.
I'd seen butterfly pea tea on social media for years — the colour-changing trick, the dramatic indigo brew, the way it shifts to pink with citrus — but never tried a really good one until this Ceylon blend. Opening the bag the first thing you notice is that the ingredients are visibly whole — recognisable hibiscus pieces, rose petals, dried butterfly pea flowers themselves. Not dust, not powder. The brew is the deepest indigo blue and a single squeeze of lemon turns the cup pink in seconds. The flavour is soft and floral with a gentle hibiscus tang and a clean rose lift. Caffeine-free, full of antioxidants, and genuinely calming to drink. It has become a ritual — afternoon cup, watching the colour develop, slow sips. One of the more thoughtful purchases I've made in a long time.
Most flavoured greens are either too sweet or taste artificial — soursop is hard to fake and easy to overdo. This blend gets it right. The Ceylon green tea base is clean and slightly grassy, and the soursop comes through as a delicate creamy-fruity aromatic on top. Beautifully done and genuinely refreshing.

Cold brewed overnight and it's incredible. Subtle fruit, smooth green tea finish.
