✦ Pure Ceylon cinnamon leaf oil — warm, spicy & clove-like
Steam-distilled from the leaves of true Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) in Sri Lanka. A warm, spicy, clove-like aroma for the diffuser and home fragrance. For aromatic and external use.
What It Is
Pure Ceylon Cinnamon Leaf Oil is an essential oil, steam-distilled from the leaves of true Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) grown in Sri Lanka. Leaf oil is the spicier, more clove-like of the two cinnamon oils — its warm, peppery-sweet aroma comes mainly from eugenol, the compound also found in cloves. It's a concentrated aromatic oil, so a little goes a long way.
The Aroma
Warm and spicy with a distinct clove-like note — a little deeper and more peppery than the sweet bark oil. A cosy, spiced scent that suits autumn, winter, and the holidays.
Ways to Use It
- Diffuser: 3–5 drops in an aroma diffuser for a warm, spicy fragrance.
- Home fragrance: a drop or two on potpourri or a reed diffuser.
- DIY room & linen sprays: a few drops in a water-and-witch-hazel spray (shake before use).
- Blends: pairs well with clove, orange, and other warm spice scents in homemade, properly diluted blends.
Safety & Handling
- For aromatic and external use only. Do not swallow / not for internal use.
- Concentrated — can irritate skin. Never apply undiluted; dilute in a carrier oil (about 1% maximum) and always patch-test first.
- Keep away from eyes and sensitive areas.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Not recommended during pregnancy without professional advice.
Leaf Oil vs Bark Oil
Leaf oil (this one) is spicier and more clove-like, driven by eugenol — and typically the more affordable of the two. Bark oil is sweeter and richer, driven by cinnamaldehyde. For the classic sweet-cinnamon scent, try our Ceylon Cinnamon Bark Oil.
